Meet Our Senior Pastor

Pastor Luther Green, Jr.
Rev. Luther Green, Jr. was born in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Luther Green, Sr. and Cathy J. Green. He made a personal profession of faith in Christ as Savior and Lord and was baptized at the age of twelve under the leadership of the late Rev. Don A. Kelly at New Hope Baptist Church of North Little Rock.

He graduated from Northeast High School in 1988 and soon began to serve his country as a United States Marine. During his tour of duty, he served in combat in operation "Desert Storm." Soon after he departed from the Marine Corps, he served his community as a police officer for the City of North Little Rock. He volunteered to patrol the communities in which he had been raised, to fight against the rapid growth of drugs and violence that had infiltrated them. During this period, he surrendered to his call to serve his King, Jesus Christ, as a minister of the gospel (August 1996) under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. E.D. Lairry. In 2002, he accepted God's first pastoral assignment for him to pastor the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, AR where he served faithfully for 14 years. Pastor Green is also a full-time Staff Chaplain for Arkansas Hospice.
Due to his desire to be enlightened by God, to know the hope of God's calling and the riches of the glory of God's inheritance in the saints and the exceeding greatness of God's power, Pastor Green sought God in prayer and pursuit of God's Knowledge.

Pastor Green has earned an Associates of Bible, Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Bible Language with emphasis on Greek & Hebrew from the Missionary Baptist Seminary of Little Rock, AR. He has earned a Bachelor of Christian Education from the Arkansas Baptist College of Little Rock, AR. He has also earned Master of Arts Theological Studies and Master of Divinity degrees from Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia.

Pastor Green's focus is on Christian Education for God's people. He led Mt. Zion with boldness, zeal, integrity, faithfulness, and by example. Under his leadership, Mt. Zion sought to serve the local community as well as those in surrounding areas through food and clothing ministries but most of all through teachings designed to develop practical principles that lead to a life of praise and worship of God. Under Pastor Green's teachings, saints are equipped and empowered to understand that Hallelujah is "Praise to the Highest" and calls for Christians to strive to live Matthew 5:16 lives which expresses praise to God by witnessing through our walk.

In December 2016, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Green began his second pastoral assignment from God as the Pastor of the Greater New Hope Baptist Church. Pastor Green's focus for the congregation is to seek God for our purpose and utilize that purpose for the advancing of the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Green has been married to Charisse Adams-Coleman for over 25 years and they share four adult children and several grandchildren.
